Day programs are centers of activity, social connection, and skill-building. However, for participants living with incontinence, the day care environment can be stressful. Staff at day programs are often managing large groups and may not be familiar with a participant's specific "home" routine.

Incontinence isn't just a nursing issue; it’s a facility-wide operational drag. Wet beds and delayed changes increase the load on laundry, housekeeping, and even therapy.

In an AL community, a single "odorous" hallway or a resident with visible accidents can damage the reputation of every department. It increases the burden on Housekeeping for deep-cleaning carpets, slows down Dining Services when residents are late due to changes, and impacts Marketing when tours encounter a "nursing home smell."
