eBrief recognized for its impact on incontinence management for staff and residents in senior living and care communities

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ALACHUA, Florida (September 24, 2026) – etectRx™, Inc. today announced that it has won Gold for Innovator of the Year at the 2026 McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards, recognizing eBrief’s impact on intelligent incontinence management for staff and the individuals they serve.

The Innovator of the Year category honors technological innovations that have positively affected senior living and care operators’ provision of care, services and operational performance. Winners across all 14 categories of the 2026 McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards were selected by an independent panel of 24 long-term care stakeholders and announced this month. The program is a joint initiative of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care.

eBrief is etectRx’s intelligent incontinence monitoring system, built to support caregivers in delivering person-centered incontinence care and to help prevent the many complications that can arise from incontinence — complications that have long gone unaddressed by innovation in the space. By giving care teams real-time, actionable data, eBrief helps providers, families and residents make better-informed decisions about care, while addressing incontinence as a root cause of preventable adverse events rather than simply a hygiene issue.

“This recognition reflects what eBrief was built to do: give caregivers what they need to help catch incontinence-related complications before they become adverse events,” said Eric Buffkin, CEO of etectRx. “We’re proud to see that impact validated by the industry, and we remain committed to advancing technology that improves outcomes for residents and supports the teams caring for them.”
