etectRx Expands eBrief™ Partnership with Legato Living to Brand New South Carolina Community

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ALACHUA, Florida (August 13, 2026) – etectRx™, Inc. ("etectRx™"), a leading digital health sensor company, today announced an expansion of its partnership with Legato Living, extending the eBrief™ Early Adopter Program beyond its original launch site at Legato's Greater Indianapolis community. Building on strong results, the eBrief™ intelligent incontinence monitoring system will now roll out to Legato's newest community in South Carolina, opening September 2026.

As a company built around small, family-style homes rather than large institutional facilities, Legato Living has always looked for ways to give caregivers more time for what matters most: real connection with residents. From its home-like communities in Greater Indianapolis, each limited to a maximum of 16 residents with a 4:1 resident-to-caregiver ratio, to its newest home at Zion Hill in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Legato Living continues to pair its person-centered care philosophy with technology like eBrief to deliver more personalized, proactive support for residents.

"When I opened Zion Hill, my goal was to create a home where every resident feels seen, respected, and cared for as an individual," said Lanetra Ebron, owner of Legato Living at Zion Hill. "eBrief lets our care team focus on the person in front of them instead of guessing when a resident needs attention. That's exactly the kind of intentional, dignity-first care I want for every family who trusts us."

eBrief helps care teams move away from guesswork by alerting caregivers only when attention is truly needed, cutting down on unnecessary nighttime checks and awakenings for both residents and staff. This targeted approach reduces exposure times to wetness which has been shown to reduce skin irritation and discomfort, minimizes disruptive overnight changes, and frees up caregiver time that can be redirected toward more meaningful, hands-on care. For Legato Living, the technology reinforces a broader commitment already central to its communities: preserving dignity and comfort for every resident, every day.

"Legato Living's expansion into South Carolina is a meaningful next step for eBrief’s expansion across enterprises," said Eric Buffkin, CEO of etectRx. "It shows that the results we've seen in Indianapolis aren't unique to one home or one team; they reflect what's possible when a care community is willing to bring in the right technology to support their caregivers. We're proud to grow alongside Legato Living as they open new doors for residents and families across the country.
